Education, advocacy, and support for dyslexic learners.
Change Dyslexia exists to change the conversation around dyslexia — from something people “struggle with” to something that deserves understanding and respect.
Dyslexia is not a lack of intelligence or effort. It is a different way the brain processes language, often paired with strengths in creativity, problem-solving, and big-picture thinking.
Our mission is to educate, empower, and advocate for dyslexic learners by providing clear information, real experiences, and accessible resources so every learner can feel confident in how they learn.
Dyslexia affects approximately 20% of the population, making it one of the most common learning differences worldwide. It appears across all cultures, languages, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Because dyslexia can look different from person to person, many individuals go undiagnosed for years. Raising awareness helps students and adults recognize signs earlier and access the support they deserve.
Dyslexia is not connected to intelligence, motivation, or effort. People with dyslexia are just as capable as their peers and often excel in areas that require creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
Many dyslexic individuals develop strong verbal skills, visual reasoning abilities, and innovative thinking styles. With proper understanding, dyslexia can be recognized as a difference — not a deficit.
When dyslexic learners receive the right instruction, accommodations, and tools, their confidence and academic performance can improve dramatically.
Early identification and support can reduce frustration, anxiety, and feelings of inadequacy. Access to resources such as assistive technology, structured literacy instruction, and understanding educators allows dyslexic individuals to succeed in school and beyond.
